THE NUMBER 1 PILATES
STUDIO IN RENO

Danielle Andrade
Studio Owner and Master Instructor
Danielle´s passion for body and movement began at the age 5 with her first ballet and jazz class. From that point forward, she continued to develop her passion and she knew without a doubt that she would continue with it for the rest of her life.Dani discovered Pilates while studying to become a Physical Therapist at university. She graduated in 2006 from Universidade Estácio de Sá in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and since then body movements, functions and dysfunctions have been a part of her life.
Through her studies she realized that she wanted to make physical activity a priority in her patients’ lives, and not just during their rehab and physical therapy treatments. She discovered a European technique developed by the French Physiotherapist Phillipe E. Souchard called RPG (Global Posture Re-education). The practice is based on the progressing knowledge of human biomechanics and motor coordination. This theory applies to postural re-education based on a thorough analysis and observation of anatomy, physiology and the evolution of symptoms which leads to injury. She incorporates this therapy, in addition to the 5 Pilates Principles, including balance and coordination, into her rehabilitation practices.
She began her Pilates Certification Training in 2008 in São Paulo, Brazil at the Ivanna Henn Institute focusing on Mat Pilates with ball integration requirements. From there she completed the Comprehensive and Foundation Apparatus Training Program including the Reformer, Cadillac, Chair, Ladder Barrel and Spine Corrector at the Physio Health School of Pilates in Rio de Janeiro.
Eager to continue her education and develop her physical therapy emphasis on women`s care, she discovered Aero Pilates from Escuelã Power Pilates in Madrid, Spain. This program focuses specifically on the pelvic floor, transverse abdominal activation and core control using the Pilates Plus Strings challenge. Dani went to Madrid in 2013 to complete the course requirements. In 2014 she returned to Madrid to study again, this time to complete the Stott Pilates Rehabilitation Program Mat and Reformer (RMR-1 - RMR-2).
In November 2014 she was part of the Total Barre Foundation Course by Merrithew Health & Fitness in Rio de Janeiro (by Stott Pilates) and she started to teach Barre Classes, now combining her two passions together, Pilates and Dance. In May 2015 she got certification from the PMA (Pilates Method Alliance) for completion of Pilates Mat with Stretch-Eze level 1 provider by Dynamic Movement.
Looking for more experience, continuing education and a teacher trainning program to share her love and passion, Dani applied for the Pilates Master Mentor Program developed by Lolita San Miguel, First Generation Pilates Teacher, trained directly by Joseph Pilates and Carola Trier. She graduated with Lolita as a Second Genaration Pilates Teacher in March 2019 in West Palm Beach Florida and became Lolita`s Disciple getting ready to continue teaching her Legacy Education as the only Disciple in Nevada.
Dani loves to teach people and help them gain strength and knowledge of rehabilitation, movement and their capabilities. As soon as you meet her you can tell that she’s found her life’s passion. Her background in PT and her dedication to Pilates are a core part of her life and she loves what she does.
